Why I Decided to become a Teacher

I want to become a teacher so I could influence the younger generation to stay active in their everyday life and to help those students find their hidden talents in sports. I would like to show students that although Physical Education is a break from the classroom, they are able to pick up and develop the skills to play a variety of sports. I want to give students a good memory to their introduction on how to play certain games as the information will stick with them longterm.

Drawing of Myself as a Teacher

I would like to show students that there are a variety of sports to choose from to be a favorite hobby. Also it is essential to teach students about different sports and how they are played.

Philosophy

Within The Bahamas every student should be allowed to receive an education whether in the public or private system. Receiving an education with give students a better chance of developing good learning, social and technical skills that will last them a lifetime.

Vision

As a perspective teacher I would consider working towards raising the level of respect level between students and teachers. There have been many situations concerning teacher and student relationships in the classroom. I want the students to show me the same level of respect I give them. Manners and respect will carry them throughout the world and I envision that they will become discipline in their school work.

Mission

My hope as a potential educator is to grant as much students the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in Physical Education.

What I hope to do differently

I would hope to place new teaching skills within my lesson such as mini games. Mini games will grant each student the opportunity a chance to be active in the class and have fun.
